Awakenings

Welcome, I will share a bit about my story with you.
Sometimes the impossible happens, and it happens right before our eyes. God has turned something bad into good. The abuse of drugs and or going through, or having to endure a form of mental, emotional and or physical form of trauma can have a prolonged effect on a person, lasting for years. And it may take a person years from the time the person is given the opportunity to start to get the emotional and psychological help the person needs to start to get and feel better.

I didn’t know that I needed some sort of help, much less that help existed. With time, I did realize that I needed some sort of help, and with time I did get help. I got psychological help, to assist me in learning to manage suicidal thoughts and a few other mental health symptoms. In the process, with time, I had a psychological awakening. Then I became aware that I also had to tend to some spiritual matters. That I didn’t even know were real or possible. I found through direct experience that the spiritual world does in fact exist, through which, in time, I had a spiritual awakening, etc. I like the way Edgar Tolle put it in the following quote. “Spiritual Awakening is awakening from the dream of thought.”

It has taken some time to get used to this new way of thinking and being, but here we are. God has done a new thing in my life which is where we meet. At an ending and a beginning.
